The objective of the museum is to bring together high quality Asian works of art rarely seen in other museums around the world and modern wood carvings of a kind not found anywhere else.
The highlights of the museum are massive wood sculptures which are carved and finely polished by hand from tree stumps and roots hundreds of years old, and exquisitely designed into decorative tables and lounge chairs fused with intricate carvings of figurines and animals, flowers and birds.
